NeuraiWallet Privacy Policy
NeuraiWallet is a non-custodial mobile wallet used to store, send and receive Neurai (XNA) and to interact with the Neurai blockchain. This policy explains what data the application handles and how it is used.
1. Data We Process
NeuraiWallet may process the following data on your device:
- Wallet addresses and public keys
- Encrypted private keys, seed phrases (mnemonics) and extended public keys
- Optional PIN / passphrase hash and biometric lock settings
- Transaction history fetched from public Neurai network endpoints
- Selected network, language, currency and other app preferences
- User-defined backend endpoints (Electrum, RPC, WSS) when provided
- Contents of QR codes that the user voluntarily scans with the camera
- Pending transaction or signing request details (for the approval UI)
NeuraiWallet does not collect personal information such as name, email address, phone number, government ID or KYC data.
2. Where Data Is Stored
All wallet data is stored locally on your device:
- On iOS, sensitive material (private keys and seeds) is protected by the system Keychain.
- On Android, sensitive material is protected by the Android Keystore / encrypted storage.
- Non-sensitive preferences and the wallet database are stored in the application's local storage (Realm and AsyncStorage).
3. How Data Is Used
- To display wallet information, balances and transaction history.
- To construct, sign and broadcast Neurai transactions after explicit user approval.
- To protect access with PIN, passphrase, biometric authentication and screen-capture detection.
- To remember user preferences (language, currency, theme, selected network) across sessions.
- To optionally notify the user about incoming transactions via local or push notifications.
4. Data Sharing
NeuraiWallet does not sell, rent or share personal data with third parties. Private keys, seeds and any other sensitive material are never transmitted to external services by the application.
5. Network Requests
To function, the application sends requests to Neurai blockchain infrastructure, including:
- Electrum-compatible servers, RPC endpoints and WebSocket (WSS) endpoints used to query balances, fetch transaction history and broadcast signed transactions.
- Public price-feed services used to display fiat exchange rates (only when this feature is enabled by the user).
When you broadcast a transaction or query an address, the destination server can technically observe your IP address and the addresses you query. You may configure your own backend endpoints in the settings to mitigate this. NeuraiWallet itself does not log this information.
6. Permissions
The application requests the following device permissions, used strictly for the features described:
- Internet / Network state — to communicate with Neurai blockchain endpoints.
- Camera — to scan QR codes (addresses, invoices, seed backups).
- Biometrics — to unlock the wallet with fingerprint or Face ID, when enabled.
- Notifications — to alert the user about incoming or confirmed transactions.
- Vibration — to provide haptic feedback in the UI.
- Storage (legacy Android) — to import/export wallet backups when the user explicitly requests it.
- Screen-capture detection — to warn the user when sensitive screens (e.g. seed phrase) are being recorded.
No permission is used to collect data for analytics, advertising or profiling.
7. User Control
- You can delete individual wallets or all wallets from inside the app.
- You can change or reset the PIN and biometric settings at any time.
- You can configure or reset the backend endpoints used by the app.
- Uninstalling the application removes all locally stored data, including encrypted keys. Make sure you have a written backup of your seed phrase before uninstalling — without it, your funds cannot be recovered.
8. Security
NeuraiWallet implements local encryption of sensitive material, optional PIN and biometric locking, and automatic session locking. However:
- You are responsible for protecting your device and keeping your PIN, password and seed phrase confidential.
- You are responsible for safely backing up your seed phrase. Because NeuraiWallet is non-custodial, the developers cannot recover lost seeds or funds.
- You should only install NeuraiWallet from official sources (Google Play, App Store, or the official Neurai repository).
9. Children's Privacy
NeuraiWallet is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction) and does not knowingly collect personal data from them.
10. Open Source
NeuraiWallet is an open-source project derived from the BlueWallet codebase, adapted for the Neurai blockchain. The source code is publicly available for review at the official Neurai Project repositories.
11. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be indicated by changing the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the application after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
